Consumption rate of K700 Tile Adhesive
Depending on the type of surface under work and its smoothness, the consumption rate per square meter varies. Under standard conditions, about 5 to 7 kilograms of K700 Tile Adhesive is sufficient to cover one square meter.
Preparation of the surface under work
Before using tile adhesive, the surface must be completely clean and dry, free of grease, loose particles and dust.
Method of using K700 Tile Adhesive
Each 20 kg bag of K700 Tile Adhesive is mixed with about 5 to 6 liters of water using an electric mixer. The container in which the mixing takes place should be appropriate for the volume of the adhesive and the speed of the mixer. When mixing, slowly add the powder to the water and continue mixing until a uniform and homogeneous mortar is obtained. Give the mortar a rest for 5 minutes and after a little re-mixing, the mortar is ready to use. Using a notched trowel and creating parallel grooves, apply the adhesive to the desired surface and install the tile within a maximum of 20 minutes.
Notes
After mixing the water and the powder adhesive, the maximum time for using the mortar is 1 hour.
When installing the tile, the ambient temperature should be between +5 and +40 degrees Celsius.
After at least 24 hours, the tiled surface is ready for grouting.
