Sahand Chemical Biza Plus primer is used to prepare all types of gypsum, cement, concrete, ACC block, wood, ceramic, and stone surfaces before waterproofing or tiling operations.   

This product, with just one step of implementation, increases the adhesion of the cement-based compound (including tile adhesive, waterproofing materials, or cement sand mortar) to the substrate and by covering its capillary pores, in addition to reducing the consumption of applied materials, it will also reduce the water absorption of the surface.

“Is the use of Biza Plus primer mandatory?

For some surfaces that have high water absorption (such as gypsum walls), the use of primer is mandatory. Surfaces with high water absorption absorb the water in the tile adhesive compound or waterproofing materials and cause the adhesive to become porous and brittle.

But the presence of a layer of primer prevents water from leaving the compound and being absorbed by the surface and gives the tile adhesive (or waterproofing materials) the opportunity to reach its final strength.

In addition, since Sahand Chemical Biza Plus primer is a strong connector, it creates a strong connection between the surface and the cement compound and greatly increases its adhesion resistance and strength.   

Applications of Sahand Chemical Biza Plus Primer

Primer applications include the following:

• Preparation of gypsum surfaces for tiling
• Increasing the adhesion of concrete surfaces for the implementation of waterproofing materials
• Reducing water absorption of gypsum and cement surfaces
• Preparation of gypsum surfaces for wallpaper implementation

Calculating the required amount of primer

Due to the different absorption of different surfaces, including gypsum and cement, the consumption volume of primer will also be different. But on average, each 5-liter gallon of Sahand Chemical Biza Plus primer is sufficient to cover 20 square meters.

Substrate conditions

Before applying Biza Plus primer, clean the surface from any dust, paint, oil, corrosion, cracks and peeling, and then apply Sahand Chemical primer to the surface using a brush, roller or spray gun.   

Operating temperature and workability time

The best operating temperature for Biza Plus primer is between 5 and 40 degrees Celsius.   

Expiration date and storage conditions

Biza Plus primer can be used for up to one year if stored in its packaging and away from direct sunlight, heat and freezing.
